Financial Manager

We are the leading organisation in the large-scale poultry industry. This role exists to provide dedicated financial oversight and management accounting for the Western Cape region.

As Financial Manager, you will lead the financial control of CAPEX and OPEX to ensure sustainable regional growth and profitability. You report to the CFO at Paterson grade D4. You will make critical decisions on budget allocations and provide the financial data that regional leadership relies on for operational planning. This is a full-time, on-site role in Somerset West.

• Control CAPEX and OPEX expenditure to ensure alignment with the approved annual budget.
• Deliver management accounting reports for the Western Cape region to board-level standards.
• Formulate financial forecasts for regional operations to enable proactive resource planning.
• Be accountable for the accuracy of regional financial statements to ensure audit-ready records.
• Interpret financial variances and communicate corrective actions to the CFO.
• Lead the finance team in the region to maintain high standards of reporting accuracy.
• Influence regional operational spend by providing data-driven cost-reduction strategies.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor's degree (NQF 7) in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 8 to 12 years of experience in financial management within a large-scale corporate environment.
• 3 to 5 years of experience managing people.
• Proven experience in management accounting and budget control for CAPEX and OPEX.

It would be an advantage if you have:

• Experience within the poultry or agricultural sector.
• Postgraduate Diploma or Honours degree (NQF 8) in Finance.
